CS-SS-001 — The Nourishment Gateway

The Nourishment Gateway is a binary architectural test used to determine whether a sport system feeds the ecosystem it depends on — or feeds off it.

A Structural Standard for Regenerative Sport

What the Gateway Is

Why a Standard Is Necessary

Why a Standard Is Necessary

The Nourishment Gateway (CS-SS-001) is a structural classification standard.

It does not optimise performance.

It does not evaluate competitive success.

It does not assess governance quality in isolation.

It evaluates one question:

Does value structurally return to the participation base that sustains the system?

The result is binary:

  • Pass — Regenerative architecture present
  • Fail — Extractive architecture dominant

There are no grades.

There is no partial marketing endorsement.

Why a Standard Is Necessary

Why a Standard Is Necessary

Why a Standard Is Necessary

Repeated rescue in sport is frequently described as:

  • Bad luck
  • Market timing
  • Governance error
  • Economic cycle

Yet failure patterns recur across jurisdictions and sports.

The Gateway provides a structural lens independent of:

  • League politics
  • Ownership structure
  • Commercial narratives
  • Public relations

It classifies architecture — not intent.

What the Gateway Evaluates

Why a Standard Is Necessary

What the Gateway Does Not Do

The standard assesses whether a system demonstrates:

  • Cost–revenue coupling
  • Structured reinvestment into participation
  • Failure containment
  • Reserve discipline
  • Bounded professional expansion
  • Sustainable middle-tier integrity

If these conditions are not structurally present, the system is extractive — regardless of short-term financial performance.

What the Gateway Does Not Do

Certification and the Gateway

What the Gateway Does Not Do

The Gateway does not:

  • Recommend commercial strategy
  • Intervene in governance disputes
  • Assign moral judgement
  • Provide investment advice

It identifies architecture.

Certification and the Gateway

Certification and the Gateway

Certification and the Gateway

Certification may be granted only where a system passes the Gateway.

Certification:

  • Follows formal assessment
  • Includes defined review cycle
  • May be withdrawn if structural drift occurs
  • Is public only when granted

Failure remains confidential.

The Gateway governs structural legitimacy — not marketing alignment.

For Capital

Certification and the Gateway

Certification and the Gateway

Long-duration capital exposure to sport assets requires clarity on regenerative capacity.

Financial modelling evaluates cash flow.

The Gateway evaluates architecture beneath cash flow.

Structural clarity precedes deployment.

Architecture determines whether sport systems endure beyond a cycle.

The Nourishment Gateway makes architecture visible.
